SOA Conference - Banking Technology Strategies 2008

The Bennu Group has chosen to endorse its first primarily technology-focused event for 2008, the Banking Technology Strategies 2008 conference put on by the European Networking Group.

This conference, to be held in Amsterdam the 23rd and 24th of January, is a senior level event that strikes right to the heart of business issues the banking industry faces in the 21st century. We are extremely pleased to see the quality of speakers and targeted issues/ content of this event that should give attendees a very high quality experience with plenty of truly actionable takeaways.

While the conference revolves primarily around Service Oriented Architecture it is deeply laced with customer and business requirements that are elements faced by those in the banking industry in respect to sustaining growth, building market share, retaining profit margins and dealing with customer realities in the 21st century. While we can’t say that everything you will hear at this event avoids the traps of overt complexity, inside-out thinking, and ROI based on implied metric relationships that don’t really exist (as is most often the case when talking SOA) we can tell you that a lot of the presenters at this event are not succumbing to these traps themselves. That puts this conference head and shoulders above most of the technology events we have seen.

It’s going to be a very good event, so if you’re in the technology side of the banking industry or SOA has grabbed your attention and you want to avoid the many pitfalls others have fallen into then this is the event for you.

TIP - Head for those sessions with “Customer” in the title for the creme-de-la-creme.
