The Technology Conundrum

In my recent article on BPM Systems, I drove a stake in the ground regarding how these systems are far easier to use in supporting the changes that come from the powerful (yet simple) techniques that are the “bread and butter” tools of the Certified Process Professional – and how current use of these systems misses the mark almost completely.

BPM SYSTEMS ARE DEAD! (Long Live BPMS…)

If anyone asks me what is happening in the BPM Systems (software) market the reply I give, without any hesitation, is that BPMS IS DEAD.

Now that certainly doesn’t seem to make any sense if you look at the sales growth of BPMS vendors and market predictions from analysts covering BPMS. The reality is that the BPMS market is continuing to grow in respect to the amount of money being spent on the purchase of BPMS software products and the growth of that expenditure shows little sign of abating.

So why would I claim that BPMS is Dead?

The Question of the Day - How Does CEMM relate to BPMN?

CEMM is not in any way related to BPMN - they have NOTHING in common :)

BPMN is a standard specification used to create actual process models (typically for use in a workflow/bpms type application) where the standard has all of the rules, terms, etc. in it for creating complete models of processes.
